For over a decade, Syrian men, women and children have had to navigate the daily reality of indiscriminate aerial and ground bombardment, and the terrible living conditions of displacement camps, and harsh winter seasons.

Nearly 7 million vulnerable people face an uncertain future due to displacement, harshwinters, declining work rate and the collapse of the local currency, which has worsened and deteriorated economic conditions. 90% of the Syrian population are living below the poverty line.

Displaced families have very little or no income at all as the currency has reached its lowest rates. This has led to a deterioration of the humanitarian situation, which poses a threat to the lives of millions of vulnerable people if emergency assistance is not provided to them. 

Each home will be 65 square metres, and be able to host a family-of-five. The family will own their new home for life . 

We’re working with local communities to identify and serve those who are most in need, including:

• Women and child-headed households
• Families with persons suffering from illness and disabilities
• Displaced families 
• The elderly 

We still have a long way to go to meet the housing needs of families struggling to survive in Syria, with estimates that 150,000-200,000 homes are needed.
